Meet the Speakers

Scott Kannry  

CEO & Co-Founder, Axio

Scott is CEO and Co-founder at Axio, the leader in SaaS-based risk management software, which empowers security leaders to build and optimize security programs and quantify risk for better investment prioritization and decision-making. 

Scott is the architect of Axio’s four-quadrant cyber loss impact taxonomy and the methodology for evaluating and stress testing insurance portfolios, a process designed specifically to better align overall cyber exposure with insurability. This approach was the first to codify the reality that cyber predicated losses can trigger numerous lines of insurance coverage.    

Previously, Scott worked at Aon PLC, where he established and led the eastern region professional and cyber solutions team. While at Aon, he specialized in advising firms on emerging cyber exposures and designing customized risk transfer solutions. Scott worked with firms in all sectors but focused on critical infrastructure industries including energy, utility, and transportation.  

Scott is a frequent speaker at industry events and contributor to insurance and cybersecurity publications. He has been recognized as a Crain’s Chicago “Notable Entrepreneur,” Business Insurance Magazine “Top 40 under 40” broker, Risk and Insurance Magazine “Power Broker,” and industry Rising Star by Reactions magazine.  

Scott received Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Case Western Reserve University, a JD from Northwestern Law School, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. Scott is also the author of a turnaround and sports management MBA teaching case on the Chicago Blackhawks.

Global Head of Governance Solutions at Nasdaq, Gabriella leads the business which provides governance and compliance technology and board advisory services to over 4,500 public, private, and non-profit boards and leadership teams, as well as the Nasdaq Center for Board Excellence – a community of governance professionals promoting board excellence. Gabriella has over 20 years of experience in building global SaaS businesses across corporate governance, investor relations, and corporate communications in various roles spanning strategy, product management, go to market, sales and customer success. Prior to Nasdaq, she held leadership roles in the corporate group at Thomson Reuters and Reuters, including the acquisition and integration of the Hugin Group and RedEgg, a media monitoring service, and prior to that she held roles in strategic consulting at Roland Berger in Hungary, and the United Nations in Geneva.

Gabriella sits on the board of Kuberno, a Nasdaq Ventures company, and is a director of several Nasdaq subsidiary companies across Europe.

Gabriella holds a CEMS Masters in International Management from the ESADE Business School, Barcelona, Spain, and a Msc in Business and Management from the Corvinus University of Budapest. She has also obtained a Diploma in Corporate Finance from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) in 2007.  Originally from Hungary, she has lived and worked in the United States, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK. She currently lives with her family in Richmond, United Kingdom.

Bobby Mehta 

Independent Director, Northern Trust

Bobby has served as a Director of Northern Trust since 2019. With a robust background in leadership roles, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of TransUnion, a global risk and information solutions provider, from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, Bobby held the position of Chief Executive Officer at HSBC Finance Corporation and HSBC North America Holdings, Inc. from 2005 to 2007.

In addition to his extensive experience, Bobby currently serves on the boards of The Allstate Corporation, a position held since 2014, and Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated, since 2019. He has also contributed to other significant companies, including TransUnion from 2007 until January 2022 and Piramal Enterprises Limited from 2013 to 2020.

Bobby's expertise is further demonstrated through active participation in board committees and subcommittees focused on risk management and technology and operations, showcasing a commitment to driving growth and innovation in the organizations he serves.
